Mishcon de Reya today announced the appointment of Bushra Ahmed as a leading international disputes lawyer specialising in arbitration, complex litigation and asset recovery. She joins as a Partner in Mishcon de Reya's recently opened Dubai office where she will lead and develop the firm’s disputes practice in the region and play a central role in its international disputes strategy. The appointment further strengthens the firm’s global disputes offering and deepens its capabilities across complex cross-border arbitration work. Bushra joins Mishcon de Reya from KBH in Dubai where she was Partner and Head of Dispute Resolution, leading the firm’s high-value arbitration and litigation practice across the Middle East.
Bushra brings extensive experience in international commercial arbitration and complex cross-border disputes. She has represented clients in proceedings under the rules of leading arbitral institutions including the DIAC, ICC, LCIA and UNCITRAL, acting on high value and technically complex matters across sectors such as energy, construction, financial services and technology. She also has significant experience in proceedings before the DIFC and ADGM courts, including matters involving the enforcement of arbitral awards and complex cross-border asset recovery. Bushra also sits as an arbitrator and serves on the panel of several major arbitral institutions, and she will bring valuable insight into the decision-making process and procedural best practice to Mishcon de Reya. As a prominent figure within the arbitration community, Bushra holds senior roles within the Dubai International Arbitration Centre (DIAC), where she contributes to the development of arbitration practice and outreach initiatives across the region. Her combination of practitioner and institutional experience allows her to offer clients a distinctive perspective on managing and resolving international disputes.
