Mishcon de Reya has advised University of Leeds spinout adsilico on its £10 million Series A funding round. The round was led by PXN Ventures, with participation from existing investors Northern Gritstone and Parkwalk.
adsilico is a University of Leeds spinout developing AI and simulation technology that enables medical device manufacturers to assess device performance across diverse virtual patient populations before testing in real-world settings.
The company combines generative AI and physics-based modelling to improve the development and evaluation of implantable medical devices.
The funding will support the further development of adsilico’s Virtual Chimera™ platform, expanding its capabilities beyond cardiovascular applications into additional therapeutic areas, including neurovascular devices. The company also plans to significantly grow its team as demand for advanced simulation and modelling technologies continues to increase.
Mishcon de Reya continues to support leading university spinouts and high-growth technology businesses as they translate cutting-edge research into commercial success. The UK’s university innovation ecosystem remains a powerful source of world-class healthcare and deep technology companies, attracting investment to scale transformative technologies with global impact.
