Amanda Gray, Partner in Art Law, provided comments to the 'Thinking Outside the Box' article written by Dr Desné Masie for Businesslife magazine. Amanda discussed fine art investments and warned about the importance of due diligence.
In Amanda's words, "anyone acquiring such assets should be mindful of their authentication, provenance, valuation, condition, customs, tax liabilities, attribution, title and ownership – to name just a few considerations." In addition, the article highlights that the shift to online sales, accelerated by COVID-19, and Brexit uncertainty are important factors to consider.
