Partner Johanna Walsh has co-edited the new GIR Guide to Compliance. A global overview of financial crime related compliance issues, the book looks at compliance requirements in different jurisdictions; approaches to enforcement for compliance breaches; compliance issues in practice; and emerging compliance fields.
Jo says, 'Compliance now lies firmly at the heart of prevention and enforcement of financial crimes and misconduct, and the developments in this area demonstrate a firm commitment from global legislators, policymakers and law enforcement to continue in this approach.'
Mishcon de Reya have also contributed two further chapters to the guide. Ali Geary, Niki Stephens, Min Weaving and Elizabeth Hope wrote a chapter on UK Compliance Requirements, and Matthew Ewens, Charlotte Wilson and Chris Gribbin put together a guide on Compliance Issues in Environmental, Social and Governance Matters.
The Guide is available online now, and in hard copies later this month.
