MDR Cyber: Virtual CISO

A Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) provides leadership to align security initiatives with business objectives. We typically provide Virtual CISO services part-time and remotely, and our services are available on a retained basis as and when required.

This helps to minimise your costs whilst providing the specialist expertise required at the time when it is needed. When you are using our Virtual CISO service, you are able to access the full breadth of our team's expertise from cyber threat intelligence and investigations to more traditional cyber security gap-analysis and strategy support. Our team can pull together policies and standards, help with vendor risk assessments, as well as showcasing your security posture in pitches and presentations.

There are several points during an organisations lifecycle that need specialist cyber security support. A start-up who lands their first big contract and receives a detailed security questionnaire, a business that has a security incident and realises the importance of security, or a large project or programme that needs part-time security expertise are all areas where external support can add value.

A perceived skills shortage in the cyber security market has led to (CISOs) being highly sought after, to the point where good ones are both expensive and difficult to find. The size and scale of your organisation will dictate whether you need a full-time data security leader with corporate governance experience, or a selection of specialists with technical knowledge. It’s not only about the budget for this role, it’s about whether a business requirement really exists to tackle cyber security full-time.

Our team can help you define a cyber security strategy, conduct a gap-analysis and develop a prioritised set of actions that will increase your security maturity. We have experience of working with a range of businesses, from start-ups to larger organisations with more complex requirements.
