Rafaella is a Managing Associate in the Tax and Wealth Planning team. She specialises in UK and international tax planning for high net worth individuals and trustees, with a particular emphasis on US/UK tax planning and on wealth planning for Lat-Am clients.
She advises on a range of taxation, trust and estate planning matters, including tax residence and domicile issues (both UK pre-arrival and pre-departure planning), as well as long term onshore and offshore wealth structuring.
Rafaella advises high net worth individuals and families, entrepreneurs and family offices as well as trustees and foreign advisors spanning the UK, the USA and Brazil/Latin America and further afield.
Originally from São Paulo, Brazil, Rafaella speaks Portuguese and Spanish and is a member of Mishcon de Reya's US/UK and Latin America teams.
Rafaella is a full member of the Society of Trusts and Estate Practitioners (STEP), having completed the STEP Diploma in Tax and Estate Planning, achieving a Distinction.
Rafaella also works closely with Mishcon de Reya's Immigration team to provide integrated tax and immigration advice to new arrivals to the UK.
