Between 2016 and 2026, Elliott founded and built the Gibraltar practice of a leading London-based boutique commercial disputes firm, marking a first in Gibraltar's legal history. With more than 23 years' experience advising on complex, high-value offshore disputes, often involving trusts and trustees, Elliott established one of Gibraltar's premier disputes practices. By the time he relocated to London in 2026, his team was acting in approximately 70% of all complex, high-value claims before the Gibraltar courts.
Alongside building a specialist disputes practice from the ground up, Elliott served as an elected Member of Parliament in Gibraltar from 2015 to 2023. During his political career, he held a number of senior front-bench roles, including Shadow Minister for Justice, as well as portfolios covering transport, education, health and the environment. He also served as HM Leader of the Opposition between 2017 and 2019, sat on Select Committees considering Constitutional and Parliamentary Reform and Brexit, and worked jointly with the Government of Gibraltar in coordinating aspects of Gibraltar's response to the Covid-19 pandemic.
