Partner Charlie Fletcher has written an opinion piece for LBC arguing that, despite repeated claims of decline, London remains a first-choice destination for founders, investors and fast-growing businesses.
In the article, Charlie highlights the strength of London’s startup ecosystem, noting its diversity, global talent pool and proximity to leading universities within the Golden Triangle. Reflecting on his work with venture investors and emerging companies, he explains that “ideas, research, founders, investors and specialist advisors are clustering here for a reason”, drawing on Mishcon de Reya’s experience of advising on more than 180 venture capital investment deals last year.
Charlie also challenges the narrative that wealth and talent are steadily drifting abroad, suggesting instead that those working closest to the startup sector “hear a very different story”.
