Watching time 2 minutes

Charlotte Wilson

Partner, Host

The theme of Give to Gain, I think, is really one of support to my mind.  So how we support other women and bringing everyone together.  For me, it's a real opportunity to give back.

Duro Oye

CEO of Social Enterprise 20/20 Levels

The older generation giving up their time to mentor the next generation coming up.  It's a reciprocal type of relationship.

Sara Cox

English Radio DJ, Television Presenter and Author

I think I've always tried to support other women in the industry if they've asked me for advice.  You get to a point in your career where you'll get a random text and it'll be from one of the younger DJs who'll be like, yeah, I just want to pick your brains and get your advice, and you feel not like a mother, but you feel like a cool big sister.

Laura Chandler

Partner, Host

It's about helping each other out, giving each other a helping hand, giving each other a leg up, whether that's through sharing knowledge, through sharing experience.

Trisha Wing

Co-Founder & CEO of SuLe

There's more women out there who want to help.  I think sometimes when you give to other women, you'll get back in other ways you don't realise.

Alla Ouvarova

Co-Founder of Two Chicks

We started, you know, with offering girls mentorship opportunities, networking, and educational workshops.  But it's just given me a real purpose and I've got a real passion for this.

The great thing of having a panel is the advice that you can get from them.

Duro Oye

CEO of Social Enterprise 20/20 Levels

That's one thing that I think everyone and every woman can take away from today is be bold enough to just ask, and the worst that can happen is someone will say no.

Sara Cox

English Radio DJ, Television Presenter and Author

I mean, my advice is always the same.  It's always work hard, squeaky wheel gets the oil.  It's all the classics, but just, I guess, supporting other women in the workplace is important.  I just want them to be able to speak up as much as they can.

When one of us rises, we all rise.

Mishcon de Reya

This year marked our fourth annual M:Powered Women International Women’s Day event, bringing together inspiring business leaders to reflect on how giving – whether through mentorship, support or opportunity – can create meaningful change for women in the workplace and beyond.

We were thrilled to have Sara Cox join us for a fireside chat with Laura Chandler, Partner in Mishcon de Reya's Corporate department. Charlotte Wilson, also Partner in our Corporate department, hosted our panel session, exploring how we can all 'give to gain' and help forge a more equal future.
