A Matter of Trust

Editor's note

Peter Steen

Welcome to the third 2025 edition of our Matter of Trust newsletter on topics and news from the Mishcon Private department on a range of subjects relevant to fiduciaries.

This edition includes: consideration of the Privy Council judgment in Dawson-Damer v Grampian Trust Company Ltd and the Law Commission's latest proposals for Will reform in the Modernising Wills Project. We also include a series of videos and articles where my colleagues Victoria Pigott, Marianne Kafena and I consider managing and resolving family business conflicts, defending and challenging private wealth structures and wealth structuring in the Middle East.

We hope that you enjoy this edition and welcome your feedback. If there is anything in this newsletter that you wish to discuss further, please don't hesitate to contact a member of the Private Wealth Disputes or the Private Wealth and Tax team.
