Mishcon de Reya has launched the first cohort of its new US Expansion Programme, bringing together 17 high growth UK companies preparing to enter or scale in the US market over the next 12 months. The Programme is delivered in partnership with Beringea, Frazier & Deeter and HSBC Innovation Banking, and concludes with a mixer bringing together founders, investors and advisers focused on US expansion.
The launch comes at a moment when US demand for UK innovation is accelerating. US investors are participating in a growing share of UK funding rounds, and founders increasingly report that meaningful scale‑capital conversations require a US‑ready structure. At the same time, US corporates are actively seeking UK partners across AI, health, climate and data‑driven sectors. With domestic growth and funding more constrained, the US now represents not only a larger market, but an essential one for UK companies targeting category leadership. The Programme has been created in direct response to this shift – providing founders with the clarity, readiness and advisory support needed to move at the pace US opportunities now demand.
Delivered across three in person modules at Mishcon’s London office, the Programme provides practical guidance from US qualified lawyers, sector specialists and external partners on areas including corporate structuring, employment and immigration, fundraising, tax, IP, data and commercial strategy. Participants also benefit from structured peer learning and access to Mishcon’s broader Innovation Economy network.
Selected from a significant number of applicants, the cohort represents a diverse cross section of the UK’s innovation landscape, spanning deeptech, life sciences, healthtech, fintech, data, sustainability, social commerce and consumer brands. The cohort members are:
- Greenjets
- Inavya
- Bonsai Smart Wealth

The Programme builds on Mishcon de Reya’s longstanding work in the Innovation Economy. We operate within the UK’s core innovation hubs in London, Cambridge and Oxford, as well as international centres of highgrowth and entrepreneurial activity. Our network connects us to founders, management teams, venture capital investors, corporates, universities and research institutes.
We advise clients throughout the venture lifecycle and are involved in a significant proportion of UK VC fundraising. Our integrated approach brings together funding, IP, data, commercial, employment, disputes, tax and immigration expertise, giving innovative businesses the end‑to‑end support they need to scale with confidence.
Chris Driscoll, US qualified Partner at Mishcon de Reya and Programme Lead, said: “We work every day with UK companies navigating US expansion. This Programme distils the practical guidance founders need – from structuring and immigration to fundraising, IP and commercial planning - and gives them a forum to learn from each other. Cohort 01 has already brought huge energy to the sessions.”
Lewis Quinn, Manager in Mishcon de Reya’s Innovation Economy Group, said: “Many of the UK’s most exciting highgrowth companies now view the US as the natural next step. But crossing markets is complex – founders need clarity on the legal landscape, confidence in their commercial strategy and access to the right network. This Programme is designed to give them exactly that. The variety of this first cohort reflect the depth of UK innovation, and we’re delighted to support them. The market pull from the US is stronger than ever, and this cohort reflects the calibre of UK companies now positioning themselves to meet that demand.”
