Mishcon de Reya becomes first law firm to achieve National Cyber Security Centre certification via MDR Cyber

Posted on 14 January 2021

MDR Cyber, the cyber security practice of law firm Mishcon de Reya, has been certified by the UK Government’s National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) as a Certified Cyber Security Consultancy.  Mishcon de Reya is the first and only law firm to be certified in this way and is one of only 28 other companies who have also achieved this ranking.

The Certified Cyber Security Consultancy means that MDR Cyber have received an independent assessment that shows the services they deliver to clients in the areas of risk assessment and risk management meet the National Cyber Security Centre’s standards for high quality, tailored cyber security advice.

Joe Hanccock, Head of MDR Cyber said; “This is another milestone in the development of our practice. The MDR Cyber team is made up of non-lawyer cyber security and digital investigations specialists. This accreditation builds on our commitment to high quality cyber security services, which combine the best of cyber security and legal skills.”

The Certified Cyber Security Consultancy scheme gives clients independent, expert cyber security advice from a pool of certified providers. Whilst the scheme is aimed at providing Government, wider public sector and Critical National Infrastructure (CNI) with support on a wide and complex range of cyber security issues, it also validates the level of cyber security services that we provide to all our clients.
