In conversation with Sajid Javid

When: Thursday 2 February 2023Time: 15:00 - 15:30 GMT

Sajid Javid is a politician who served as Secretary of State for Health and Social Care from June 2021 to July 2022, having previously served as Home Secretary and Chancellor of the Exchequer. A member of the Conservative Party, Sajid has been a Member of Parliament for Bromsgrove since 2010.

This session will take place on Thursday 2 February, Time to Talk Day. This annual event is about us all being able to talk openly about mental health and feel empowered to seek help when we need it.

In July 2018 Sajid lost his brother, Tariq, to suicide. In 2021 more than 5,000 people took their own lives in the UK; three-quarters of them were men. Sajid believes a stigma around mental health prevents men from seeking help sooner.
