Fundamentals of Law: A beginner's guide to discrimination

DateTimeGMTOnline

In this session, we will look into what constitutes unlawful discrimination under the Equality Act 2010 (with a particular emphasis on discrimination in employment).

The session will cover:

  • What are the 'protected characteristics', and why do they matter?
  • What are the different types of discrimination?
  • When is someone protected from discrimination?
  • What are the liabilities that flow from unlawful discrimination?

Will Winch, a partner in the Employment team, will explore the issues in this interesting and complex area of law.
