Celebrate the legacy, resilience and cultural impact of Notting Hill Carnival! Join Mishcon M:BRACE for an evening of reflection, education and celebration as we mark 60 years of Europe’s largest street festival and explore the history, activism and community spirit that shaped it.
This year’s Black History Month flagship event brings together colleagues, clients and guests to honour the rich heritage behind the Notting Hill Carnival. Through a fashion showcase, expert panel discussion and networking opportunities, we will celebrate 60 years of Black culture, creativity and community while reflecting on the journey from protest to celebration.
Our panel will explore the origins of the Notting Hill Carnival, the social and political context that led to its creation and the lived experiences of the Windrush generation. Together we will discuss how we can all play a part in honouring Black communities through allyship, solidarity and global advocacy.
Enjoy a vibrant fashion showcase highlighting Caribbean and African cultural influences, carnival-inspired designs and stories of identity, pride and heritage expressed through fashion and music.
