Emily Bueno and Stuart Adams in LexisNexis on "Tulip Trading Ltd v Bitcoin Association for BSV"

Posted on 2 February 2022

Private Wealth and Private Wealth Disputes Associate Emily Bueno and Partner Stuart Adams have published an article in Lexis Nexis on the latest development in Tulip Trading Ltd v Bitcoin Association for BSV.

"Tulip, a company registered in the Seychelles and owned by Dr Craig Wright, the inventor of Bitcoin, claims that in February 2020, hackers accessed his computer and stole its digitally-held (via Dr Wright's computer situated in England), encrypted private Bitcoin keys, copied them and then deleted all trace of them, leaving it without access to approximately US$4.5bn of the cryptocurrency.

Now Master Clark has handed down a judgment in respect of an application for security for costs against sixteen software developers who implemented and developed the Bitcoin Core and BitCoin Cash ABC."

Find out about the court's decision and the practical implication of this case for practitioners.
