Finance
Clare is experienced with high value / complex financial disputes including trust/company structures and offshore holdings / crypto assets. She has acted in cases involving allegations of non-disclosure, insolvency and where there is a dispute as to appropriate jurisdiction.
Clare gives strategic, pragmatic advice, with empathy. Her focus is on settling her cases outside of Court where possible, but if necessary, she will fight her client's corner in Court to achieve the best outcome.
She collaborates with client's to accomplish their desired outcome whether that be via mediation, other non court dispute resolution or via litigation. She acts for homemakers, city professionals, landed estate owners / those with inherited wealth, celebrities and entrepreneurs.
Pre/Post and Cohabitation Agreements
Clare has a particular interest in pre/post and cohabitation agreements and provision for unmarried parents and founded the departments specialism group dedicated to these areas of the law which are rapidly developing.
Children
Clare has particular experience with cases where one parent seeks the Court's permission to remove children from the jurisdiction (including to China / Brazil / USA and Switzerland).
She has acted in cases where there are allegations as to domestic violence and coercive e control, issues as to SEND provision for children and cases where a child / children have autism and / or other specific needs. Clare is a member of the addiction specialisms group and has acted on a number of cases where addiction is a prominent feature requiring Court ordered testing.
She has experience with disputes relating to the care and living arrangements for children and also disputes as to education and a potential change in a child's name.
