Natasha Methven

Natasha is an Associate in the Family team and advises on all aspects of contentious and non-contentious family law, including financial remedy proceedings on divorce, Schedule 1 proceedings, child arrangement proceedings, leave to remove applications, and pre and post-nuptial agreements.

She has experience of high net-worth and ultra high-net worth cases, often involving an international element. She has also worked on cases with complex business valuations, domestic abuse, and with celebrity clients.

Natasha has been named as a key lawyer in the Legal 500 and is a member of Resolution.

Key Experience

• Re Z (No. 4 Schedule 1 award) [2023] EWFC 24. Acted for a mother in a complex Schedule 1 case in the High Court, involving an internationally based father running the millionaire's defence.
• Re Z (No.5) Enforcement [2024] EWFC 44. Acted for the mother in the enforcement of the above Schedule 1 award.
• GR v AR [2025] EWFC 143 (B). Acted for a husband on a case with arguments relating to matrimonialisation and the nuance of contributions, successfully securing a lump sum for the husband of £11 million.
• Acted for a celebrity client, including liaising with the publicist and media agent, and negotiating and agreeing the media separation announcement.
• Acted for a mother in a complex child arrangements matter involving the Local Authority, successfully securing a lives with order in her favour.
• Assisted a wife in negotiations and a consent order in a case with assets over £80 million.
• Acted for a husband in a case where the wife was seeking to challenge the terms of the pre-nuptial agreement.
• Acted for a wife in a pro bono case involving complex allegations of domestic abuse.
• AT v NT [2025] EWFC 456 (19 December 2025) - Part III application before Peel J which gives guidance on applications being listed on notice "absent some exceptional reason meriting a without notice determination" and setting out the injunctive provisions available under Part III.
