Katie Henderson is an Associate in the Competition Group in the Innovation department.
Katie has experience in high value disputes and competition litigation. She has acted for claimants in a cartel follow-on claim in the Competition Appeal Tribunal. She also has experience of competition advisory work as well as merger control and foreign direct investment.
Prior to qualifying into the Competition Group, Katie acted on the takeovers of Darktrace plc, Hargreaves Lansdown plc and the Royal Mail. She also acted for beneficiaries in a complex and high value multi-jurisdictional trust dispute.
Katie volunteers as a mentor for the GROW Mentoring charity providing guidance to aspiring lawyers.
Key Experience
- Advising a group of retailers (Asda, Curry's, Iceland, John Lewis, Sainsbury's and Wilko) in relation to claims against the European Trucks Cartelists in the Competition Appeal Tribunal.
- Acting for the representative claimant in an opt-out representative action in the English High Court on behalf of 1.6million individuals against Google UK and DeepMind Technologies regarding the misuse of private information.
- Advising Embedded Finance Limited on its consortium acquisition of Equals Group plc for £283 million and coordinating merger control and FDI filings on behalf of the acquiring consortium.
- Providing competition law advice on no-poach clauses.
