Emma is a Partner in the Real Estate department, specialising in property disputes. She deals with a variety of property matters, such as landlord and tenant issues. She has also worked with significant property owning companies, large corporate occupiers, retailers and high net worth individuals on wider property issues.
Much of Emma's work involves advising on complex legal issues where litigation is often involved or contemplated. She is particularly experienced in dilapidations claims having acted on a number that have involved proceedings and trials. She has also worked on contentious business lease renewals (both unopposed and opposed), joint venture disputes, property management issues (such as recovery of arrears, service charge disputes, consents and rent reviews), quiet enjoyment, contract disputes, trespass claims, easements (including rights to light and rights of way) and adverse possession.
Emma is described in Chambers 2016 as "incisive and clear-thinking, with excellent technical skills". While Legal 500, 2016 describe her as having a "good grasp of the detail" and is described by Legal 500 2018 as a Leading Individual.
Emma is a member of the Property Litigation Association and Women in Property.
