Property Shapers

Editor's note

Daniel Lipman

The real estate market continues to present opportunities, but making the right decisions is becoming increasingly more complex. Whether securing the best office space, choosing how to finance a transaction or planning for regulatory change, businesses now need to look further ahead and build greater flexibility into their strategic planning.

This edition of Property Shapers looks at some of those decisions in practice. In our Market Watch podcast, we hear how changing occupier priorities and a shortage of prime office space are shaping London's office market. Property Pulse considers when debt fund finance can offer an alternative to traditional bank lending. We also look at the property challenges facing businesses in the growing defence sector and the employment law changes for which employers in the industry need to prepare. Our latest Mishcon Minute looks at Companies House reform and the first prosecutions for ID verification offences.

These are different issues, but each has the potential to affect how businesses invest, operate and plan for growth.

I hope you find the edition useful.
