Dean Joshua Oamen

Dean is an Associate in the Employment department. He advises individuals, start-ups and large multinational clients across a range of corporate and private immigration matters.

Dean has experience acting for clients across a diverse range of sectors including technology, banking, pharmaceutical, media, life sciences, higher education, fashion and automotive. Dean assists such clients with their corporate immigration matters including obtaining a sponsor licence, sponsored work and visit visa applications, Global Talent and Innovator Founder visa applications, preventing illegal working, sponsor compliance and the immigration-related requirements following a corporate transaction.

Dean also advises individuals and their families with their private immigration matters including family visas, indefinite leave to remain, British nationality, UK Ancestry and applications for EU nationals.

Dean is a member of the Immigration Law Practitioners Association (ILPA) and the Law Society.

• Advising on sponsor licence applications (Skilled Worker, Global Business Mobility and Temporary Worker), right to work guidance and ongoing sponsor compliance.
• Advising on Skilled Worker, Global Business Mobility and Temporary Workers applications (including applications for dependants).
• Advising on Global Talent and Innovator Founder applications (including applications for dependants).
• Advising on applications for Indefinite Leave to Remain in the UK and complex British citizenship matters.
• Advising on applications for permission under the EU Settlement Scheme.
• Advising on applications for family members (partners, children and parents) under Appendix FM.
• Advising on Visitor applications.
• Advising on applications under the Student route, and ensuring university compliance with sponsor duties, including recordkeeping and reporting changes to student circumstances.
• Advising on the maintenance of internal policy documents and keeping these up to date in line with provisions of the Immigration Rules and policy guidance.
• Advising on applications made under other immigration routes: UK Ancestry, British National Overseas, Graduate and Minister of Religion.
