Welcome to the latest edition of Executive Matters, our quarterly publication tailored to the challenges and legal issues faced by Senior Executives.

When engaging with our Senior Executive readership, we like to keep things varied. And this edition is no exception, with a range of articles, podcasts, and training materials all on offer.

With the Chancellor's announcement that the UK's "non-dom" regime is to be abolished, I would like to invite you to visit our new "non-dom" hub, where you can stay updated on the latest developments. In addition to the existing resources on the hub, we have just hosted an online panel discussion exploring the implications of the Chancellor's recent announcement, a recording of which will be available over the coming week.

Earlier this month, to celebrate International Women's Day, we interviewed three fascinating women leaders about the interface between business and gender. Charlotte Yonge, founder of the charity GAIN (‘Girls Are Investors’), spoke to us about the myths and stereotypes around gender and investing. We also sat down with Andra Ilie, Senior Adviser at HSBC Global Private Banking, and Gabbi Stopp, CEO of the share donation charity, ShareGift, to discuss approaches to family business ownership and leadership, through a gender lens.  

I am also delighted to introduce two professional development resources for Senior Executives that we've recently launched. The first, created in partnership with Volans, is "ESG for business leaders", a practical course designed to equip business leaders and directors with the necessary tools to integrate ESG fully into business strategy. The second, "For the Attention of the Board", is a series of briefing notes containing concise, actionable insights for board members on such topics as sanctions regimes, dealing with the FCA, and AI-related risk management.

Finally (and for the traditionalists among you!), we conclude with articles. Our Incentives Team sets out common pitfalls when overseas employers look to provide equity incentives to group executives. Our Corporate Team gives its take on the Financial Reporting Council's updated UK Corporate Governance Code. And our Employment Team has co-authored a piece in the leading trade magazine, ELA Briefing, on what employers can learn from recent cases when dealing with employees who hold gender critical beliefs.
