For the second year running Mishcon de Reya has been recognised as having one of the world's preeminent data practices.
Global Data Review (GDR) is a leading source of worldwide news and analysis on the use and trade of data. It publishes an annual "GDR 100" list, which identifies and profiles the world’s best data law firms.
In its most recent list, Mishcon de Reya is described as a "unique firm on the London market, unafraid to take risks and pick up ground breaking work… Mishcon will pick up both defence-side and claimant-side work – not only assisting companies with data compliance, regulatory and breach work, but also advising claimants who seek to enforce their data right."
It also recognises that Mishcon de Reya advises on "truly cutting-edge issues" and can call on non-lawyer experts from the MDR Cyber team, to "give constructive and practical advice on matters that fall outside strict data protection".
Adam Rose, Partner and head of the firm's Data practice, said: "I'm very pleased – although not surprised – that our highly successful and innovative offering has again been identified as among the world leaders. The firm recognises that data is key to the future of business, as well as to wider society, but that, also, it is inevitable that disputes will arise in such an environment. We are confident that we are best placed to support both businesses and individuals in exercising and defending their data rights".
