Mark Reading quoted in The Register

Posted on 5 December 2019. Source: The Register

Mark Reading, a Managing Associate in the Real Estate department, has been quoted in relation to a dispute over the proposed installation of a mobile phone mast to serve Vodafone's London headquarters.

The Court of Appeal has rejected an appeal brought by the University of London to challenge Cornerstone Telecommunications' attempt to inspect the roof of a student accommodation block with a view to installing the mast.

Mark said: "Cornerstone was only obliged to show a 'good, arguable case' (rather than prove on the balance of probability) that the inconvenience suffered by the landowner could be compensated by money, and that the public benefit outweighs this inconvenience."
