Flex Legal has been named Best New Law Business at The Lawyer Awards 2026.

The Lawyer Awards are highly respected throughout the industry and celebrate the UK’s legal elite. The Best New Law Business award recognises outstanding alternative legal service providers and non-traditional models that drive the sector forward through strong client growth, strategic innovation, unique market differentiation, and proven financial performance.

A strategic, scalable partnership

Over the past couple of years, Flex has operated as an autonomous but highly strategic partner within the wider Mishcon de Reya Group. Flex has played a key role in staffing the Paralegal Hub to deliver overflow work and its lawyers have supported departments including Real Estate, Innovation and Private. In this way, Flex is helping to drive efficiency in utilisation rates and generate additional revenue for the relevant practice groups.

In a further success announced this week, Flex has been double ranked in the Chambers & Partners NewLaw Guide 2026. The firm achieved a Band 1 ranking in the Alternative Legal Service Providers (Europe) category. This milestone sits alongside Flex securing its third consecutive global ranking for Flexible Legal Staffing, reinforcing its sustained position as a market leader.

Kate Gaskell, CEO of Flex Legal, commented: “We are absolutely thrilled to have won 'New Law Business of the Year' at The Lawyer Awards 2026, a milestone that caps an extraordinary period of recognition for us. Alongside this award, being ranked by Chambers and Partners in the NewLaw Guide 2026, including a Band 1 European ranking for Alternative Legal Service Providers and our third consecutive global ranking for Flexible Legal Staffing, is a massive validation of our model and the hard work of our team.

“From the very beginning, Flex Legal has been driven by its mission to make the legal profession more accessible, agile, and diverse. It’s a proud moment for all of us to see our commitment to social mobility and innovative talent scaling recognised by both the industry panels and our clients. These achievements belong entirely to our brilliant team, our fantastic clients, and the exceptional legal professionals who are actively shaping a brighter, more inclusive future for the legal sector.”
