How do leaders build resilience when certainty disappears? How do organisations recover from setbacks, maintain trust and adapt to change?

In our latest ‘In conversation with’ session, the Mishcon Academy was joined by Rupert Soames OBE for a discussion on leadership, navigating change and making decisions under pressure.

Drawing on decades of experience leading major public companies, Rupert reflected on the changing relationship between employers and employees, the growth of Britain’s service economy and the opportunities AI presents for government. He also challenged the idea that the country should be run like a business and shared practical insights into preparing boards to address difficult issues.

The session offered a candid perspective on the relationship between business and government, the importance of building momentum around challenging decisions and how our outlook on the future changes with experience.
