This year has felt like you need to run to stand still when it comes to the changes in employment law. Legislation is making its way through parliament (and should be in place by the autumn) that will change the way that employers and employees interact. Judges have also not been idle. There have been cases on what 'woman' means in the context of the Equality Act 2010, the extent to which employers can be liable for personal injury when an employee is off sick with stress, and whether external HR consultants can be liable for their input into a decision to dismiss. All in all, there is a lot to keep up with.
