Our client operated a private Caribbean island with properties for sale and rent. They wanted to ensure that potential investors had legitimate sources of wealth to meet local legislation and regulation. They also wanted to ensure that their customers posed no reputational risks to their exclusive brand from their background history, political careers and public profiles.

We provided enhance due diligence investigations, examining sources of wealth, risks from political exposure, history in legal cases and reputational risks from media reporting and web content. ​

We presented our findings with a qualified risk analysis, clearly showing where potential problems could present themselves.

The client is reassured that they are compliant with local laws and can provide evidence of the stringent lengths they went to in vetting their clients. They are aware of any potential risks that their customers present and can take steps to manage and mitigate issues if and when they arise.
