Dame Alison Rose is independent non-executive Chair.
Alison has over 30 years' experience in financial services and served as Chief Executive at the NatWest Group until 2023. Prior to this, she was Deputy Chief Executive Officer of NatWest Group and Chief Executive Officer of the commercial and private banking business. She held a number of senior roles across the group including Head of Europe, Middle East and Africa for the Global Investment Bank, Global Head of Portfolio Management, and Head of Leveraged Finance for UK and Europe.
Alison previously served on the Prime Minister’s Business Council, the Government’s Energy Efficiency Taskforce and the Net Zero Council and is a founding member of GFANZ and part of the SMI Council for Climate. She was also invited by the UK Government to lead a review of the barriers to women starting businesses and launched the Rose Review in March 2019, which she then updated annually to detail good progress on female entrepreneurship.
She was appointed Dame Commander (DBE) in the 2023 New Year Honours for services to the financial services sector. Alison was the former Chair of BITC’s Scotland Leadership Board and was appointed as Vice Chair of BITC in December 2022. She is also a trustee of Help for Heroes. In 2024, she joined Charterhouse Capital Partners as a senior partner and she is an advisor to a number of FinTech companies. Alison is also a non-executive director of Raisin Group and independent, non-executive Chair of GRESB B.V.
In 2024, Alison joined Mishcon de Reya as an Advisor, where she focused on the firm’s Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Strategy and its delivery as well as mentoring a small number of partners.
