Richard is a partner in our Corporate department where he is an expert in corporate finance and M&A. His work embraces a wide range of industries including finance, life science and biotech, fashion, property and leisure. Clients range from mid-sized PLCs and other corporates to high profile entrepreneurs. 

Richard continues to lead the firm's legal services to specialist drug development services client Quotient Bioscience Group. The past year has also seen Richard work on a umber of significant joint ventures, including for longstanding listed property client Helical Bar in its joint venture to develop Central European logistics properties with Thameling Group and for new French client ACPP in its joint venture with Redhall Group for the UK nuclear new-build programme, as well as leading the firm's legal services to online consumer industries information company Stylus.

Richard is listed in the Legal Experts 2010 for his work in Corporate and M&A.

Key Experience

Advised Quotient Bioscience Group Limited, on its raising of approximately £35 million following an investment by US private equity firm, TA Associates Inc. and its subsequent acquisition of:

Amersham Radiolabelling Services, the Cardiff-based radiochemical custom synthesis operations of GE Healthcare;

The Phase 1 Clinical Trials business of Charles River Clinical Services Edinburgh Limited;

The entire issued share capital of Pharmaceutical Profiles Group Limited; and

BioDynamics Research Limited, a leading specialist provider of metabolism, bioanalytical and radiochemistry services to the world-wide pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.

Acted for Helical Bar plc on its joint venture vehicle with Grainger plc in connection with the circa £180 million mixed-use development of the area around Hammersmith Town Hall, at the western end of King Street.

Advised Osem UK Limited on its acquisition of the business of Yarden GB, a leading distributor of kosher food in England.
