Nick specialises in commercial real estate work, dealing with investment transactions, management work and acting for both landlords and tenants. He also has experience of selling commercial and residential property by auction. He joined the Firm as a paralegal in 2007, became a trainee in 2008 and qualified in 2010.

Studied: Biochemistry at Bristol University from 2002 - 2005.

Mishcon de Reya Trainee from 2008 - 2010

1st Seat: Employment Department
2nd Seat: Real Estate Department
3rd Seat: Litigation (Fraud & Insolvency) Department
4th Seat: Real Estate Department

During my first seat in the Real Estate department I was involved in a variety of commercial transactions for property funds and some residential transactions for individuals, including running the sale of 8 residential properties by auction. I assisted the planning team with an application for planning permission for a large development and with section 106 agreement negotiations.

On my return to the department for my final seat, I got involved in two of the bigger property deals of 2010 including the sale of the O2 Centre in Finchley by Matterhorn Capital and Brett Palos. Other types of work that trainees get involved in include drafting and negotiation of commercial leases, negotiating licences and assisting with due diligence on larger transactions.

While in our Fraud and Insolvency department, I worked on a large property and loan business dispute which involved assessing transaction files, analysing loan to value ratios on problem projects and reviewing documents for a disclosure exercise. I also assisted on other commercial litigation and fraud cases including some debt recovery work.

I have now qualified into the Firm's Real Estate department.
