Dean is a partner in the Corporate department handling major transactions. More specifically his practice focuses on cross-border mergers and acquisitions, and on property-related corporate work. The latter has included deals in excess of £1.5 billion. Client companies come from a wide range of industries, most notably telecoms, media and financial services, and among them names such as Matterhorn Capital, CB Richard Ellis and Dover Corporation. Recent successes have seen Dean advise the majority shareholders of EC&O Venues in their sale of a 50% interest in London’s Earls Court and Olympia Exhibition Centres to Liberty International. This valued the business at £400m.

Ranked as a leading lawyer for M&A deals between £50m and £250m, The Legal 500, 2009 has this to say: "Clients attest that Dean Poster is 'one of the best lawyers we have ever encountered.'"

Dean joined the Firm in April 2010 from Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe where he had been a partner. Prior to this he was Coudert Brothers’ Head of U.K. Corporate and Commercial Law, and Managing Partner of their London office.
