Mishcon de Reya announced the appointment of Alison Geary as a Partner in its London office, reinforcing the Firm’s White Collar Crime and Investigations capabilities.

Alison’s practice focuses on white collar and corporate crime, advising individuals and corporations on fraud, bribery, corruption, cartels, market abuse and money laundering matters. She has considerable expertise acting in investigations by UK and overseas investigators and prosecutors, including the UK Serious Fraud Office and Financial Conduct Authority, and US Department of Justice.

Alison’s extensive experience includes representing a corporate group in a high-profile multi-jurisdictional corruption investigation, representing individuals in various benchmark manipulation cases and conducting multi-jurisdictional internal investigations.

Alison joins from WilmerHale, where she was Counsel. Prior to this, she held the role of Associate at Taylor Wessing, where she trained as a lawyer. A respected media commentator, Alison is also ranked in Chambers and Partners and is recognised as a “Future Leader” in Who's Who Legal: Investigations. She is also recommended in The Legal 500 UK for white-collar crime.

Johanna Walsh, Partner in the White Collar Crime & Investigations Group, commented: “Ali’s appointment reinforces our first-rate white collar crime offering while continuing to strengthen our corporate crime and investigations expertise. Ali is an impressive practitioner and is well known for her dynamism, ambition and breadth of expertise. We are thrilled to welcome her to the team and have no doubt she will make a strong contribution from the start.”

Alison added: "I am delighted to join Mishcon de Reya’s White Collar Crime & Investigations Group – a young team that has become a highly regarded player in the market in recent years. It is an extremely exciting time to join the Firm, and I look forward to getting started.”
