A downturn brings with it an increase in disputes.  Default is more common, so is scrutiny of the underlying terms.  

Litigation, and our ability to do it well, is a key driver of this firm’s success.  It accounts for an unusually large proportion of the work we do and have done over the last 20 years. Our experience is both broad and deep. 

We act for clients in post transactional fall out, on contractual construction claims, misrepresentation, breach of contract and warranty.  We act for investment houses, hedge funds and plenty of entrepreneurs.  We handle claims for mis-selling and mis-description. We act in cases involving multi-million supply and distribution claims.

We also act where the problem is with insiders – for example claims against directors or by shareholders. 

We also have specialists in a number of other areas including fraud, financial services, banking, intellectual property and life sciences and pharmaceuticals.

We recognise that litigation is usually an unwelcome distraction from genuine enterprise.  Our aim is to avoid the cost and uncertainty of long-running litigation. Our strategy is to exert pressure early on to encourage an advantageous settlement - to keep costs in check.  We provide exceptional service at all levels.
