Sandra is not only a Partner and head of the Firm’s Family Department, she is a figure of note in family law circles with 30 years experience in practice. It was no coincidence that Mishcon was voted Family/Divorce Law Firm of the Year in 2009 by CitiWealth.
Sandra’s own particular area of expertise is in disputes involving high-net-worth individuals. This has seen her act for a number of figures of public interest, in matters made more complex by the wealth and celebrity, often involving settlements with an offshore or multi-jurisdictional dimension, pre-nuptial contracts, and co-habitation, residence and contact disputes.
Beyond her own practice, she is a member of the Firm’s management board, the author of “International Child Abduction” (Sweet & Maxwell, 1993) and a member of the Lord Chancellor's Child Abduction Panel. In 2009 Sandra was invited to join The Times Law Panel. She is a frequent broadcaster and chairperson, organiser and speaker at conferences on family law issues.
Sandra is an active member of the Solicitors Family Law Association, a member of the International Bar Association and a Fellow of the International Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. In 2009 she was shortlisted in the Citywealth Magic Circle Awards as a Leading Lawyer. In the words of Chambers 2010 she is “a go getter who achieves fantastic results”.
