There is a strong fraud element to the heavyweight contentious cases with which Nick deals. He regularly provides advice on worldwide injunctions, investigates into acts of fraud or dishonesty, disputes arising out of breaches of contract and / or confidence and multi-million pound intellectual property cases. Nick acts for multi-national, FTSE 100 and other corporate clients, as well as high net worth individuals. Much of his work has a multi-jurisdictional element.
Nick is an experienced litigator in the High Court, Court of Appeal and House of Lords. In addition, he acts for clients in other dispute resolution forums such as mediation, arbitration and expert determination.
Amongst other clients, Nick has acted for Microsoft in relation to multi-million pound intellectual property cases which involve worldwide injunctive actions. He advised a leading US bank in relation to the successful recovery of highly confidential information that had been stolen from it. Nick has acted for a global sportswear brand in its £30 million claim for breach of contract. He also acted for the defendant in a leading Court of Appeal decision upon the construction of clauses in worldwide Freezing Orders.
