Emma Macintyre is a Legal Director in our real estate department where she specialises in real estate disputes. She deals with complicated property disputes whether from a landlord/tenant or general property point of view. Her work covers a variety of clients and property types. She has advised significant property owning companies, large corporate bodies, retailers, public sector clients, universities and colleges. Much of her work involves national property portfolios but she has also dealt with one off property disputes involving complex legal issues.
In addition, Emma is experienced in the contentious side of business lease renewals (both unopposed and opposed), dilapidations, property management issues such as recovery of arrears, service charge disputes, consents, rent review, quiet enjoyment, contract disputes, trespass claims, easements and adverse possession.
Chambers 2011 recommends Emma as a leader in her field who "gives 'extremely clever advice and sees the issue very quickly'." The directory has previously noted that observers warm to her "really efficient and diligent manner". She joined the firm as an Assistant in 2007, became an Associate in 2009 and Legal Director in 2010. She is a member of the Property Litigation Association.
