Yvonne is an Associate in the Property Litigation team.
She has experience of all aspects of residential and commercial property litigation with a particular focus on residential landlord and tenant matters. She advises and acts for commercial landlords, management companies, residents associations and high net worth individuals.
Yvonne advises on various matters including service charge disputes, possession claims, termination of assured shorthold tenancies/long leases, right to manage claims and leasehold enfranchisement. Yvonne also advises on business lease renewals, rent arrears recovery, party wall and rights to light disputes, dilapidations and forfeiture claims.
Yvonne is a member of the Property Litigation Association.
- acting for both landlords and tenants in the First-tier Tribunal (Property Chamber) in claims for dispensation from the consultation requirements of section 20 of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985;
- acting for the tenants in a residents association of a large block in Central London dealing with a complex service charge dispute;
- acting for a tenant in a complex enfranchisement claim under the Leasehold Reform Act 1967 including consideration of the succession arguments which was subject to appeal at the Court of Appeal;
- providing strategic advice on achieving vacant possession of mixed use premises and dealing with all aspects of opposed lease renewals and serving relevant notices to quit
