Kate is an Associate in the Real Estate department specialising in contentious and non-contentious construction law.
Kate advises a variety of clients on both residential and commercial construction projects. She has experience drafting, negotiating and advising on construction contracts, including building contracts, letters of intent, professional appointments, novation agreements, bonds, guarantees and collateral warranties. Kate also has experience dealing with the resolution of construction disputes through the court system, adjudication and alternative dispute resolution (including mediation and arbitration).
- Drafting and negotiating construction contracts for the high quality refurbishment of a historically significant house in London.
- Carrying out due diligence on construction contracts for a number of corporate transactions.
- Assisting on a large-scale multi-party dispute involving defective design, supervision and workmanship on a public building in New Zealand.
