Mishcon de Reya Senior Counsel Stephanie Liston has been appointed as Chair of the Broadband Stakeholder Group (BSG), the UK government’s leading advisory group on broadband.
Stephanie brings her extensive expertise in telecoms and technology to the role, which will involve steering the BSG as it aims to help create a strong and competitive UK knowledge economy.
The Broadband Stakeholder Group provides a neutral forum for organisations across the converging broadband value-chain to discuss and resolve key policy, regulatory and commercial issues.
Stephanie leads Mishcon de Reya's cross-disciplinary Regulatory Group. She is internationally recognised for her skill and experience navigating complex strategic, legal and regulatory matters across multiple jurisdictions and industry sectors.
Julian David, CEO of tech trade organisation techUK which houses the BSG, said: “Stephanie brings a wealth of international regulatory and non-executive director experience. I know that she will play a pivotal role in helping to lead the UK telecoms market and ensure that our digital infrastructure drives a levelled-up economic recovery”.
