On 2 March 2017, Mishcon de Reya co-hosted the pre-MIPIM Real Estate Party with New West End Company and Bee London, with support from the Department for International Trade. This event started the 2017 MIPIM season in style.
Over 300 guests gathered at Avenue, a restaurant in St James's Street, Mayfair, to network with leading members of the real estate sector over champagne and canapés. We were delighted that Minister of State for Policing and the Fire Services, Brandon Lewis MP, joined us once again as our Guest of Honour.
This year's event was themed around change. Not just Brexit, President Trump and elections in several European countries, but also remote working, artificial intelligence and even a third Heathrow runway. With these changes signalling a new dawn, collaborative thought and working will become even more important in the real estate sector.
Mishcon de Reya continues to recognise the importance of collaboration and the impact it is having on our built environment throughout 2017. Stay up to date on all things collaborative in the property industry by following The Collaboratory.
The short film above captures the energy of the event. It also offers some insight from our clients and connections about the impact of change and how the uncertainties we face could affect the property industry. Click here to view a selection of photos.
Ten days after the party, our Mishcon team were represented at MIPIM, the annual international real estate trade show in Cannes. For reflections on MIPIM 2017, check out our MIPIM blog here.
