The second in a series of podcasts supported by Mishcon de Reya has been launched on FT.com. The series, Financial Times World Tech Founders, will feature technology entrepreneurs in emerging markets.
This episode features Hooi Ling Tan, the co-founder of one of Southeast Asia's biggest start-ups, mobile ride-hailing service Grab. Grab operates in Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia and the Philippines and in September this year raised $750m in equity financing, valuing the business at more than $3bn. The FT's Singapore correspondent, Jeevan Vasagar, discovers that it all started from her own experiences as a teenager.
