For the past three years, our meetings at the IBA Annual Conference, the legal profession's largest international event, have regularly been taken up with a discussion around Brexit, with real interest around the case that the firm led for Gina Miller in 2017 concerning the power of the executive – then, whether the Prime Minister could kick-off the Brexit process by serving the Article 50 Notice, or whether that required a vote of the Legislature (the House of Commons).

This morning, the Court of Appeal, in a unanimous decision, overturned the Judgment of Mr Justice Warby dated 8 October 2018 which had refused Mishcon de Reya's client, Richard Lloyd, permission to serve a representative action on Google LLC.
