Mishcon de Reya boosts Corporate offering with new Partner hire

Posted on 23 January 2023

Mishcon de Reya has expanded its Corporate capabilities with the hire of new Partner, Nigel Stacey, who was previously partner at Gibson Dunn, Ashurst and most recently Baker Botts.

Nigel has more than 25 years' experience advising clients on mergers and acquisitions including public takeovers, stock exchange matters and capital markets transactions. Nigel is active in a wide range of sectors including life sciences, betting & gaming, healthcare, TMT,  real estate, industrials and consumer.

With the merger with Taylor Vinters and the addition of Nigel to the Corporate team, Mishcon's ability to advise on both early/mid-stage matters through to high-end mergers and acquisitions is significantly boosted.

Kevin McCarthy, Partner and Chair of Corporate at Mishcon de Reya, commented, "There are a lot of exciting things happening in the Mishcon Corporate team at the moment. The merger with Taylor Vinters has given us something quite special, particularly in the early-stage market, and now Nigel's arrival adds real weight at the premium end of the market. As with our new colleagues from Taylor Vinters, Nigel's practice reflects our strategic focus around tech and life sciences, and his public company expertise arrives at a point where we hope and expect to see an increase in such activity in the years ahead.  We are delighted to have Nigel join the team."

Nigel added, "Mishcon de Reya is a standout platform for me. In addition to having dynamic, independently minded lawyers, its full-service offering and strong focus on technology and life sciences, with innovation being at the heart of the firm, will allow me to service my clients to the fullest. I am truly excited to have joined Mishcon de Reya and look forward to working with the team to achieve the firm's and our clients' goals."
