Mishcon de Reya today announced the appointment of David Cummings, who joins as a Partner in the Firm's Employment Department.
David joins from Allen & Overy where he practised for 11 years. In 2017, David was ranked as one of UK Legal 500's 'next generation' UK employment lawyers.
David has tremendous depth and breadth of experience across all aspects of contentious and non-contentious employment law, encompassing complex litigation in the specialist employment tribunals and superior courts, corporate transactions, business restructuring, regulatory investigations and complex HR advisory services. David also practices employment law in an international context, with significant experience in large scale multi-jurisdictional commercial transactions and stand-alone cross-border HR projects for his multinational client base. David works across a variety of sectors, with particular expertise in Financial Services, Media and Life Sciences. In particular, David's practice across the Financial Services sector focusses on the increasing intersection of employment law and conduct risk from a regulatory perspective, including the high stakes employment aspects of regulatory enforcement issues and investigations from both an employee conduct and remuneration perspective, supported by David's significant expertise in sectoral remuneration regulation across the Banking and wider Financial Services sector.
