Mishcon de Reya's Real Estate team, led by Partners Philip Freedman and Simon Chadowitz, advised Jon Hunt on the sale of Cannon Green, a City office block comprising 110,000 sq ft of contemporary office, restaurant, gym and retail accommodation.
Cannon Green is located in the heart of the square mile and features two large terraces on the seventh & eighth floors, plus The Terrace on the 12th floor rooftop which provides fantastic views over London. Other tenants include City Pavilion, a business members’ club, boutique fitness chain Gymbox and The Listing, a new concept bar and restaurant by Drake & Morgan.
Mishcon de Reya advised on the purchase of the building in 2014 and on the extensive internal and external refurbishment the building has undergone since. This has included the upgrade and reglazing of the cladding to create a stunning bronze façade, as well as the remodelling of the reception podium. Each office has floor to ceiling windows mixed with exposed concrete walls, city-slick washrooms, lighting and kitchenettes hidden behind industrial sliding doors. The building is designed to support optimum efficiency regarding occupancy levels, delivering financial performance and lower running costs.
Philip Freedman, Real Estate Partner for Mishcon de Reya commented, "having been involved in the initial purchase of Cannon Green in 2014, and advising throughout the extensive redevelopment it has undergone, we are thrilled to have seen the project through to its successful sale to Kiwoon. Cannon Green is an exciting, diverse development, and this sale shows that desire for contemporary combined office and social spaces is not diminishing in the City."
