Pinky Lilani CBE DL created The Women of the Future Programme in 2006 to provide a platform for the pipeline of female talent in the UK. Since its inception, it has brought together an informal community of influential women who are advocates for an exciting generation of new business talent. Mishcon de Reya is proud to be supporting this year's Summit and Awards ceremony.
At this year's Women of the Future Summit, taking place Wednesday 16 November, speakers will include Alexander Betts, Director of the Refugee Studies Centre at the University of Oxford; Julie Chakraverty, Founder, Rungway; Julie Etchingham, Presenter and Broadcaster; and Roula Khalaf, Deputy Editor, Financial Times, to name just a few. They will be discussing what the global landscape looks like for our women of the future, and what attributes leaders will need to stay competitive. Later that day, the Women of the Future Awards will recognise successful young women in Britain across various sectors. Mishcon de Reya Immigration Partner, Maria Patsalos, is on this year's judging panel.
This month, Women of The Future announced that the Countess of Wessex has become an ambassador - this will see her working closely with the organisation to support the awards and the Women of the Future Summit, with a view to encouraging a culture of kindness and collaboration amongst the next generation of female leaders. Cherie Blair CBE has been an Awards Patron for several years.
