On Wednesday 3rd June, Partner and Head of Sports Liz Ellen was on a BBC 5Live panel with Anna Kessel, journalist and founder of Women in Football, Justine Mitchell, Dundee United Director and Rachel Brown-Finnis, former England goalkeeper and BBC pundit.
Part of Women in Sport Week, the debate was hosted by Jacqui Oatley and focused on the role of women in sport – and football in particular – and the specific opportunities and challenges for women at board level in the industry.
Liz commented: "Diversity is key to the success of any board - differing experiences, cultural backgrounds, responses to risk and ethical sensitivities all add to a healthy debate within an organisation. Plus international management studies provide strong evidence that boards with female representation are less prone to governance scandals involving corruption, bribery and fraud – and are also better able to respond in times of crisis."
