Mishcon de Reya last week won 'Best Use of Technology' at the British Legal Awards 2017, hosted by Legal Week magazine.
The firm was also runner up in the 'UK Law Firm of the Year' and 'Litigation and Dispute Resolution Team of the Year' categories.
Mishcon de Reya has made technology a core theme of its 10-Year-Vision, which stated an aim "to be technologically transformed". It has since launched MDR Discover, becoming the first UK law firm to have its own in-house e-discovery business; launched an incubator programme for tech start-ups in the legal space, MDR LAB; and its Real Estate department has developed a suite of tools to deliver better outcomes for clients and enable its lawyers to work faster and more efficiently.
In addition, the firm has established – and is growing – a team of cyber security specialists to provide clients with advice on cyber risks and how to protect against them.
Nick West, Chief Strategy Officer and Director of MDR LAB, said: "We have made an ongoing commitment to technological investment to help us deliver additional value to our clients. We are proud that our efforts have been recognised at The British Legal Awards."
